Questions parents ask

The short answers.

Is junior rugby safe?

Under 7 and Under 8 play tag rugby, with no tackling at all. Contact comes in step by step from Under 9, taught by accredited coaches. Any player who may have a concussion leaves the field and follows our Concussion Policy before playing again.

What does my child need?

Boots or runners, a water bottle, and a mouthguard once they play contact rugby. The jersey and socks come with registration.

How much does it cost?

From $150 a season for Under 7 and Under 8, up to $320 for seniors. Early bird is $20 off before 30 November, and the third child from one family plays for half price.

Can girls play?

Yes. Girls play in mixed teams up to Under 12, then in girls teams, and our women’s 10s train on Wednesday nights.

When is training?

In winter, juniors train on Tuesday or Thursday after school and seniors on Wednesday nights. In summer it is touch on Tuesdays and 7s on Thursdays.
